Cranes

Lift faster and safer with a crane

Solpods can be lifted into place using a variety of types of crane:

• crane truck
• pick-and-carry crane (Franna)
• mobile crane

Select a crane that can lift 500 kg (a Solpod weighs under 400 kg) to a distance of 20 to 30 metres.

Solpod’s demonstration site was installed using a crane truck.

Blue Tongue Solar installed a 100 kW site using a Franna.

Mobile all-terrain cranes are ideal, setting up in one location and slewing between the stack of Solpods and the install locations.
