Footings

Solpods can be installed using:

• rammed posts
• ballast blocks
• pin footings (e.g. Mega-Anchor)

Solpod uses hot-dip galvanised 40NB posts with an outside diameter of 48 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm. They’re rammed 1 metre into the ground (for Wind Region A) and extend 1 metre above the ground.

Ideal for sites that aren’t suitable for ground penetration. For Wind Region A each Solpod requires 600 kg of ballast, i.e. 150 kg for each block.

Pin footings, such as Mega-Anchor or SureFoot, use multiple rammed pins in different orientations.
