Solpod Utility

Faster, lower cost, lower risk ground mount

Solpod Utility offers many distinct advantages.

  • Faster installation, using pre-assembled Solpods that are lifted into position using a crane
  • Lower cost installation, with a smaller team spending less time on-site
  • Lower risk installation, because the Solpods rammed post anchors have a smaller cross-sectional area than a typical tracker pile, can be relocated up to 200 mm if they hit rock, or can be replaced with a ballast block
  • Tolerance to uneven ground, as the horizontal cross-beams can be adjusted to the correct height on the vertical posts
  • Best practice Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) for installing solar, with a crane used to lift heavy items

Anchor options

Solpod Utility can be anchored in different ways.

  • Rammed posts, 40NB
  • Ballast blocks, four per Solpod, 150 kg each for Wind Region A
  • Mega-Anchor
